Morning mist at Menimi
The name Menimi arrives from the word "Memre Mi"
Which means "remember me". The Suriname river runs from deep in the jungle all the way torwards the Atlantic Ocean. Menimie is located behind the dam hours and hours with the boat (no roads, just rain forest) to the south of this river. I visited it with my friends for a couple of days and it was fabulous. Just a small glimps of "memre mi" won't let you forget....
